Those extremely lucky folks who attended the Official Doctor Who Convention this past weekend got the earliest look at the very first trailer for the upcoming series seven of DOCTOR WHO, and now it’s time for the rest of us to catch a tiny glimpse of the Doctor (Matt Smith), Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) in action via snippets from the first three stories. It should go without saying that SPOILERS lie ahead…
Looks like show-runner Steven Moffat has another rolicking season of adventure in store for our favorite wayward Time Lord. As usual, the Doctor (and Matt himself) appears to be having terrific fun in the Wild West episode. Apparently the cyborg character is called the Reckoner, and the episode also features Ben Browder of FARSCAPE and STARGATE SG-1 fame. I am intrigued by what might be happening in that snowy wasteland — aside from that Dalek eyestalk, of course! And check out that woman in the tall blue headdress: Rumor is she may be Nerfertiti, King Tut’s mother.
It may be just me, but those huge metal suits seen toward the end of the clip remind me of the Mondoshawan from Luc Besson’s The Fifth Element. Anyone else fancy a crossover in which Amy meets Leeloo?
