Wanna Drink Wine With Jennifer Lawrence?

Of course you do! Who wouldn’t?

Well, we’re all about to get our chance, thanks to Jennifer Lawrence‘s new partnership with Omaze  benefitting Represent.Us, a non-partisan organization that wants to  “fix America’s broken political system.”

While announcing the opportunity to win the boozy meet-and-greet, JLaw did a bit in which she tried to guess if a quote was from a wine review or a review of one of her movies. Hilarity ensued.

Helena Bonham Carter Supports Fish

Actress Helena Bonham Carter cozied up with an endangered bigeye tuna to promote the creation of marine reserves in the UK Overseas Territories.

“I am a big supporter of protecting the marine environment,” Carter said of the Fishlove campaign promoting the Blue Marine Foundation, which raises awareness of “the unsustainable fishing practices that are destroying the earth’s marine ecosystem.” And it’s not just fish; the reserves would help whales, turtles, seabirds, penguins and corals.

“I’m actually very phobic about fish, so when Greta [Scacchi] asked me to be photographed naked with a 27kg tuna I was more worried about touching it than getting my kit off. Having said that, I conquered my fears and by the end of the morning we’d truly bonded.”

Carla Gugino and Malin Akerman’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Director Zack Snyder challenged two of his former leading ladies, Carla Gugino (Sucker Punch) and Malin Akerman (Watchmen), to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The ladies accepted — and decided to have a little fun with it, despite the serious subject matter.

Hey, I just remembered: Carla was in Watchmen as well, playing the Golden Age Silk Spectre, mother to Malin’s Silver Age version. So I guess that makes this a little… weird.

Superman & Lois Take ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Direct from the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams (Superman and Lois Lane) take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. And, as befits a superhero, Cavill goes the extra mile:

In unfortunate related news, shortly after this, Superman flew to Metropolis and slaughtered 750 innocent bystanders. I guess old habits die hard…

This Is Real: J.J. and X-Wing Fighter From ‘Episode VII’

Director J.J. Abrams is back to remind fans of the chance to win a cameo in Star Wars: Episode VII by making a $10 donation to UNICEF through Star Wars: A Force for Change — and this time he has upped the ante with a chance to win an advance screening of the movie. Oh, and did we mention he’s standing in front of a battle-damaged X-wing fighter and encounters a pilot dressed like a member of the rebel alliance from the first film — and there’s even a mouse droid?

After considering the madness that is the latest Episode VII plot leak, it’s good to see something straight from the horse’s mouth! We can trust J.J. himself, right? He wouldn’t lie to us about what’s in his movie… right?

DOCTOR WHO ‘Children in Need’ Clip

This year, DOCTOR WHO’s contribution to the annual Children in Need telethon is a clip from the upcoming 50th anniversary story, “The Day of the Doctor,” and as such, it is a bit spoiler-y.

So, if you want to know absolutely nothing about “The Day of the Doctor,” do not play the clip; simply take my word for it that it’s intriguing, and Matt Smith is in fine 11th Doctor form with Jenna-Louise Coleman‘s Clara and Jemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart. But if you simply cannot resist and don’t mind a mild spoiler or two, then… Allons-y!

Yes, the Doctors will return on Nov. 23, just over a week from now!!
