Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for IRON FIST, the next installment in its series showcasing Marvel Comics’ “street level” superheroes. GAME OF THRONES’ Finn Jones stars as Danny Rand, scion of a wealthy industrial family and a man presumed dead in a plane crash 15 years ago, who returns wielding the incredible martial arts ability known as the Iron First.
In the comics, this ability is usually described as “He summons his chi — the essence of his spirit and strength — channeling its raw power down into his arm, into his hand, until that hand becomes like unto a thing of iron!
Take a look at the terrific way the Iron Fist is being visualized for the series in the clip below…
IRON FIST also stars David Wenham as Harold Meachum, the former business partner of Danny’s late parents; Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey as Harold’s children, Joy and Ward Meachum, who have known Danny since childhood; and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, an ally of Danny’s who runs a martial arts dojo.
IRON FIST premieres March 17, 2017, on Netflix.
This comes as a bit of a surprise: I did not expect another promo clip for Marvel Television‘s new Jessica Jones series before its big release on Netflix, but here it is:
This trailer really paints a picture of the series: Jessica (Krysten Ritter) kicking some serious ass and Killgrave (David Tenant) being creepy as hell… It will be the Purple Man’s mental powers testing her physical prowess.
Check out the first official trailer here.
All 13 episodes of Jessica Jones will be available for download as of Nov. 20.
At long (long) last, after a series of short, frustrating teaser clips, the official FULL trailer for Jessica Jones has been released! Don’t waste time reading this — watch the trailer!
Looks pretty damn awesome, doesn’t it?
All 13 episodes of Jessica Jones — a co-production between Netflix and Marvel Television — will be released simultaneously through Netflix on Nov. 20.
Netflix and Marvel Television have released a “motion poster” for their latest co-production, Jessica Jones, which will be released on Nov. 20. It appears the poster features all-new art by noted Daredevil comic book artist Alex Maleev.
Coming up this Friday is the first full trailer for the series, but in the meantime, we can have a look at the last teaser trailer, which features the voice of DOCTOR WHO’s 10th Doctor, David Tennant, as Killraven, a.k.a. the Purple Man, who appears to be the Big Bad for this season.
Jessica Jones focuses on former super heroine Jessica (Krysten Ritter), who now works as a private investigator in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City specializing in cases involving people with extraordinary abilities.
The series also stars Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker and Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper.
All 13 episode of the series will premiere at the same time on Netflix on Nov. 20.
A Very Murray Christmas!
Yes, this is going to be even bigger than the Star Wars Holiday Special….
Starts streaming on Netflix Dec. 4.
No, it wasn’t a cruel April Fool’s Day joke — Marvel Studios really did release two promotional video clips for its forthcoming series with Netflix on April 1. And here they are…
The First Defender:
All thirteen episodes of DAREDEVIL will begin streaming on Netflix on April 10.
TRUE BLOOD actress Deborah Ann Woll will play Karen Page, the female lead in Marvel Television and Netflix’s upcoming Daredevil series. Karen is the longtime love interest of Matt Murdock/Daredevil, and appeared in the very first issue of the comic book, back in 1964.
Karen was killed in the comics in 1999, but Woll’s character will be a new, cinematic version.
Daredevil stars Charlie Cox (BOARDWALK EMPIRE) as Matt Murdock/Daredevil; Elden Henson (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1) as Foggy Nelson; Vincent D’Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket) as Kingpin, and Rosario Dawson (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For) in an undisclosed role (Elektra?).
