This “Absolut x Marvel” line isn’t real, but maybe — if enough folks post about it and the right marketing people get wind of it — the campaign could become a reality.
The good folks over at CBR first spotted these bottles, by Indonesian designer Krizia Soetaniman, who came up with the idea to combine the Absolut bottle with minimalist portraits of Marvel characters Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Thor, Hulk and — yes, really — Iron Man, along with baddies Venom and Magneto.
While this is liquor line is certainly not for children (or, seriously, alcoholic Tony Stark!), surely there are enough Marvel fans of legal drinking age around the world to justify putting this into production!
As the magic day — the first of May — approaches, the promotion onslaught for Avengers: Age of Ultron will begin in earnest. But for a film that looks like this much fun, I don’t think anyone is going to mind! Just watch the third TV commercial:
Did you catch the first clear, full-face shot of the Vision right there at the end, or did you blink? He’s the red-faced guy.
As a public service, here are the first and second TV spots, and the amazing full-length movie trailer.
Ultron is the focus of the newest trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron — with a brief recap of his origin and James Spader using his creepiest voice to lay out the evil AI’s plan to destroy Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Lots to love about this trailer, which its action-packed scenes and intriguing teases — do Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) hook up? Do any of the big guns die? Who wins, Hulk or Iron Man in Hulkbuster armor? (Just so you know, Uncle Joe firmly believes that Hulk should win, but how it plays out on film is anyone’s guess.)
You don’t have to wait for the Super Bowl to see this cool commercial — the first official TV spot for Avengers: Age of Ultron!
This clip is heavy on Hulk and Black Widow action.
Directed by Joss Whedon, A:AoU opens May 1.
Here’s that elaborate poster for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron in all its robot-fightin’ glory.
Say, is that the Vision in the upper left, way in the back, acting all float-y? I think it is!
I wonder when the movie opens…?
The actors’ photos from the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron keep on comin’ — but they haven’t started to get exciting. Yet.
Witness Mark Ruffalo’s (Bruce Banner/Hulk) snaps: a contemplative selfie with Robert Downey Jr. (who plays Tony Stark/Iron Man) and a rear view (sorry, only from the waist-up) of Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) that looks rather nicely moody.
Marvel Studios released some interesting-looking concept art from its various Phase 2 projects, so I thought I’d share a few cool visuals.
Here are some images intended for Avengers: Age of Ultron, including the visuals for the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. The image of Hulk and Black Widow could easily be from The Avengers, so looks like director Joss Whedon is going for “more of the same.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy art continues to support the idea that Rocket Raccoon will be the breakout character. I’m more interested in Star-Lord’s mask — which I hope he will wear more than most other movie superheroes wear theirs.
