Here is the first look at the Black Panther as he will appear in next summer’s Captain America: Civil War. These photos come from location filming in Berlin, and feature Chadwick Boseman‘s stunt double in the Black Panther costume.
Notice the silver accents around the mask and gloves — that’s different from any version of the costume I’m familiar with from the comics.
The scene appears to involve the Panther and Captain America chasing the Winter Soldier, because also filming at the location were Chris Evans‘ stunt double as Captain America, and Sebastian Stan‘s double for the Winter Soldier.
Here is the film’s official synopsis:
Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6, 2016.
The Black Panther’s solo film is slated for release on July 6, 2018.
