When MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for its second season premiere on Sept. 23, there will plenty of new faces helping to rebuild the shattered agency — or tear it right back down again!
Chief among the new allies is former XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS star Lucy Lawless as Agent Isabelle Hartley, a veteran S.H.I.E.L.D. agent helping to rebuild the organization.
The very first bad guy the team will be up against is Carl “Crusher” Creel (Brian Patrick Wade), better known to comics fans as the Absorbing Man, because he has the ability to absorb the properties of anything he touches, from steel to liquids to gas. He primarily tangled with Hulk and Thor, as I recall. Creel probably will not be wielding his trademark weapon, a wrecking ball, though.
Also guesting on the series this season are: Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse, a.k.a. the superheroine (and sometime partner of the Avengers‘ Hawkeye) Mockingbird; Reed Diamond as Daniel Whitehall; Nick Blood as Lance Hunter; Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie; and Kyle MacLachlan as Skye’s father.
MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres in its new time slot, 9 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 23, on ABC.
