A few things jump out at me:

  • Moffat is co-writing all the episodes he didn’t pen solo — except for Gatiss’ story.
  • Newcomer Jamie Mathieson has not only written two episodes, they’re running back-to-back.
  • “Mummy on the Orient Express” is my favorite title. And a (possible) historical!
  • “The Caretaker” was probably named to provoke speculation about a reappearance by Tom Baker!

The season kicks off Saturday at 8 p.m. on BBC America.
