Christmas is over — so instead of cleaning up stray bits of wrapping paper or that tinsel ball the cat coughed up, or even finishing off the last of the eggnog, why not read about something completely unrelated to the holiday? And what could be less Christmas-y than THE WALKING DEAD!
You will recall that the fall finale left the prison in ruins after the Governor’s attack; the survivors were scattered after the battle, with the fates of many — including infant Judith — left unknown. A wounded Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) stumbled into the woods together.
When TWD returns in February, executive producer Scott Gimple hints that the father and son could be on their own for quite a while, leaving Rick plenty of time to moon over the loss of his daughter.
“[ Judith’s possible death] is going to hit him in a way that we haven’t seen before. If it’s just the two of them, [Carl is] going to have to step up quite a bit because circumstances are wildly different and a lot will depend on him in terms of them just surviving. They don’t have an awesome, dual-layer fence and brick buildings to hide behind. They’re out in the world.”
