I’m still in shock over the abrupt and violent end of last night’s BREAKING BAD; part of me felt like I should be cowering on the floor like Walt, but most of me was just staring at my TV, shouting, “Is it next week yet?”
Hank finally got his man. He finally slapped the cuffs on the mysterious Heisenberg. His brother-in-law was on his knees, helpless and being read his rights. Hank even called his wife to tell her Walt’s reign of terror was over. Hank won. And then it all went wrong in a hail of bullets in the middle of the desert.
Jennifer Lawrence is reprising her role as the shape-shifting (and clothes-shunning) blue mutant Mystique in next year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, and while her costuming has advanced — she’s wearing a body stocking instead of just blue paint and glued-on bits of latex — so has her character’s attitude.
Lawrence told SciFiNow:
“I’m naked. But when I do get to wear clothes, I love the ’70s outfits. Some of the Mystique look is a little different, but we’re still using the same paint. But she’s different in this film too. [In First Class] she was struggling – like a lot of normal humans – with the way she looked, and she was covered up a lot in the first movie, but this time she is mutant and proud.”
So she’s secure enough in herself to go without all that superfluous clothing. Plus, she’s played by Jennifer Lawrence, so there’s another reason to skimp on the wardrobe…
