Marvel Studios has released another poster made of win for Thor: The Dark World — this one finally giving us a good look at the film’s villain, Malekith the Dark Elf.
The studio also released an official character description of the Big Bad, played by DOCTOR WHO’s Christopher Eccleston:
“Malekith is the cruel leader of the Dark Elves, a race of beings said to be older than the universe itself. Born into darkness, Malekith led his people in a war against the Asgardians, but they were thought to have been destroyed thousands of years ago. Malekith survived, however, and now seeks to transform our universe, plunging it back into eternal darkness.”
I’m liking the lifeless masks that the Dark Elves wear, and I’m really looking forward to this sequel’s Nov. 8 release.
One of the best things about the latest trailer for Thor: The Dark World, is watching little Jane (played by petite Natalie Portman) haul off and slug Loki (Tom Hiddleston) as payback “for New York.” Now, Portman says that she really socked Hiddleston in the jaw!
“It was actually a [real] punch. We did a few that were fake, but they could tell because I am just bad at that. So there were a few real ones because they were like, ‘You are just a little girl, you really can’t hurt him.’ So, I don’t know — he acted like he could handle it, but I think I actually hurt him!”
Check out the great Thor trailer one more time.
